Beneath Orion’s Belt (Constellations Before Collapse #3)

*PUBLISHED AS ORIGINALLY PENNED ON 7/7/2025

When I look up at Orion’s belt,
I see the thread that ties us tight
three bright stars aligned like promises,
stretching across the velvet night.

Though miles keep us apart,
his steady light reminds me this:
distance is just space between stars,
and you, my love, are never far from my wish.

Your voice is the hum beneath the cosmos,
your laugh the spark that lights my sky.
I trace the constellation’s shape,
as if mapping your fingers on my skin,
each star a pulse, a breath, a touch
I long for but can’t yet feel.

In the vastness of night’s embrace,
Orion guards the waiting heart—
a hunter not of prey, but of moments
when we close this space and time
and collide like stars reborn.

Until then, I hold you close in constellations,
my love burning bright enough to guide
us through the dark,
to where your arms
are my home beneath the sky.
